The washer you see in the pictures with the red insert is no longer manufactured and is therefore obsolete. You are looking at a replacement diaphragm washer and service kit as shown in the other pictures.
Genuine Ideal Standard / Armitage Shanks spare parts
Repair / Renewal kit consisting of 5 components:
- Diaphragm washer (most common part that needs replacing)
- Small rubber ‘bullet’ washer
- Blue flow restrictor
- Internal filter
- 1/2″ internal diameter sealing washer (only needed if completely removing the valve)

Your old washer may have a red plastic insert and bobbles around the washer. Do not panic as it’s the valve that give these washers the bobbles as a result of constant pressure build up and is probably the reason it is failing. Your new washer from this service pack will have a white plastic insert with a smooth rubber
