Details

Discovering a crack, split, or hole in an existing basin waste pipe can cause immediate panic and threaten water damage. This 32mm to 36mm compression repair slip coupler solves the issue by sliding easily over damaged pipe sections to create a secure, watertight bridge without requiring a complete re-pipe.

Instructions

1. Cut the damaged section out (CHECK THE LENGTH OF THE FITTING IN THE IMAGES BEFORE DOING SO)
2. Simply slide the white nuts over the pipe first, then the red/orange nylon washers before the pointed black rubber washers. Slide these all the way back so they’re out of the way.
3. Make sure that the black rubber washer is pointing the thin end towards the white fitting you have yet to put on and slide the rubber down the pipe
4. Push the rest of the fitting on one side of the pipe. The fact that it has no internal stop ring means you can freely slide this back and forth while you align the pipework!
5. Once this is aligned and where you want it, slide back the rubber washers so they’re tight inside the fitting, the coloured nylon washers then butt up to these, before bringing the white compression nuts back up to the fitting
6. Finally tighten these nuts, compressing the pointed washer against the plastic to make a seal and that’s it!
7. NOTE: DO NOT PULL THE FITTING OUT OF THE BAG AND SIMPLY PUSH ONTO THE PIPE WITHOUT REMOVING THE NUTS AND WASHERS FIRST. THIS WILL CAUSE THE PIPE TO FORCE THE RUBBER DOWN INTO THE FITTING WITHOUT MAKING ANY WATERTIGHT SEAL, CAUSING A LEAK!
