The Triton 82800450 pressure relief device provides an important safety function within compatible electric showers. If water cannot escape correctly through the shower head, the PRD allows excess pressure and superheated water to escape before it can cause damage to the shower’s heating system.
This listing contains two genuine Triton 82800450 PRDs, making it useful when you need a replacement and a spare. Triton has also updated this part, and the current 82800450 replaces the previous version.
A PRD operates when a fault causes excessive pressure or overheating. Therefore, if an existing PRD has blown, check the shower head, shower hose and water flow before fitting the replacement. A blocked or scaled shower head, for example, can restrict water flow and cause the PRD to operate again.
